About Midget

KMBA has two programs for Midget Baseball, the Midget AA (House) programming and the Midget AAA (rep) program.

Midget AA

KMBA will form teams based on the number of players registered. In the past this has ranged from 2-3 teams each year.

The teams will be balanced and play in the Okanagan Interlock League. Games are normally on the weekends with double headers starting at the end of April and travel is usually balanced between an even number of home and away games in the Okanagan (re: Vernon, Kelowna and Penticton). These teams will practice (one early time and one later time) on Monday nights.

In addition, there will be an option for those players who want to play more competitively and into the summer. The Midget AA summer head coach will evaluate players in the spring and indentify those players interested in playing competitively by their skill level and interest. These players will then get additional practice time during the week on Wednesday nights or potentially play a game that night in the local men's league. It is also anticipated that these players will also play together in at least one tournament in the Spring.

In June tryouts will be held for any player that is interested in playing summer baseball. This team does incurr additional fees for a uniform kit, tournament costs, coach travel, etc. The team will play through the month of July and early August.

Midget AAA

The Midget AAA team is KMBA's elite program for midget age players. They play in the 18u College Prep League against teams from across the Province. Evaluations for this program occur in March with practices and games starting at the end of March. Practices are Tuesday and Thursday nights with games taking place on both Saturday and Sunday until the beginning of August.
