KMBA is dedicated to welcoming every youth in Kamloops who wants to play baseball. No child should not play baseball simply because a family cannot make the financial commitment. We are pleased to offer financial assistance to those families who wish to enroll their child in baseball, but are facing financial difficulties.

Parents of children seeking financial assistance to cover baseball registration fees should first contact the following agencies:

  1. Canadian Tire Jumpstart http://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/en.html
  2. Athletics 4 Kids http://www.a4k.ca/apply_now
  3. BC Baseball Kidsplay

*Note currently players are not eligible to receive Kidsport Funding for baseball

In the event that no external agency will provide financial assistance, then KMBA does have a Hardship Fund to assist families with the cost of playing baseball.

To be considered for a full or partial fee waiver, please contact the KMBA President, in confidence, and provide the following information:

  1. Name and date of birth of Child, name of Parent/Guardian, Address, Phone Number, and e-mail address;
  2. Explanation of the special circumstances that require consideration for financial assistance; and
  3. What applications you have made to external agencies for financial assistance and the outcome of those

Every application received by KMBA for financial assistance will be reviewed in a timely manner by the President and Vice President.

Please note we are unable to process your registration until we have confirmation that you have been approved by one of the agencies listed above and funding has been received. As it can take 4-5 weeks to process an application we strongly encourage families to apply early to avoid missing the registration deadline of February 28th.
